Since the doctor's appointment on Thursday we've been practicing standing up. Jayden doesn't mind it, but he's certainly not very steady. He can make it on his own for a few seconds at a time, but someone had better be there to catch him at any moment.

After Carmen got home on Sunday we mostly hung out at the house, but we did have a quick outing to the park, just for a change of scenery. Jayden is such a ham!

On Saturday (after waiting almost three hours for a repairman to fix our fridge), Jayden and I went to lunch again. This bib is not one I would have picked out, but we have two and they do come in useful, particularly when it comes to wiping his mouth after eating. We actually had fun, but it definitely was not a clean event.

| Mama! No more pictures, just feed me, please! |
We are now preparing for our week-long trip to the east coast. I am very nervous about the whole trip, but as my friend said today "you can't keep being scared, you just have to do stuff." It's possible that the redeye flight will be a disaster, it's possible that the fact that we have no rocking chair/glider will be a disaster, it's possible he won't nap at all and will be a disaster himself, who knows. But we're going for it. Worst case he survives the week and then he's a disaster for the week after we get home. It will be worth it to see family (especially those that are reading this..!!!), but it's so hard to know how a baby will react and how to prepare for the many different reactions. I will arrive packing enough for a month I'm guessing, so please don't make fun of me!

Okay, I got a little serious at the end. But just a little seriousness. Hopefully the many pictures made up for the tiny bit of seriousness.
