No pictures, but a quick update: we had a good weekend, did a lot of relaxing and hanging out at the house. Good for Jayden and good for his parents too. :)
Today we had our four month doctor visit. Jayden continues to be off the charts in height - well over the 97th percentile, at 27-1/4" long/tall. His weight actually dropped in percentile - he was creeping up towards the 80th percentile two months ago and he's down in the 60th percentile now, at 15 pounds 5 ounces. Soo, long story short, the doctor thinks it might be okay to start solids with him. We'll start with a little bit of rice cereal in one bottle a day, to see if it will help him go longer between feedings, especially at daycare. And we're going to ask Julia to push him to 3 hours between feedings; hopefully the rice cereal will help with that.
Our pediatrician doesn't think he needs to wake up in the middle of the night to eat anymore, but I'm not totally convinced of that. If he's eating as much as he is at daycare and is not growing at the same rate, then it seems to me that maybe he needs those extra calories. But we'll see - within the next couple of months I guess he should start sleeping through the night, at least occasionally.
He got two shots and an oral vaccine today. He was much more upset with the shots than last time, but I think that's also because he had just fallen asleep in the car on the way to the doctor's office and he woke up when we went in - and then was undressed, poked and prodded. He's sleeping again now, after screaming his head off for a bit. Poor baby...
