A quick note

Tomorrow is the big day: the first cross-country flight(s) as a family of four.  Jayden is quick to point out that we will be taking TWO airplanes to get to Delaware, and that point is not lost on me.  We are flying through Atlanta, which is both good and bad.  It's nice to get so much of the flight over with all at once, but it also means four or five hours of being in a middle seat with a baby on my lap.

And of course both kids are sick.  Jayden seems to be getting better, but is still coughing and has a runny nose.  Dakota, I don't know.  Her bowel movements have been weird for more than a week now, and I can hear the congestion in her chest.  Both kids have a cool mist humidifier in their rooms tonight (and I bought a travel version today) and I squirted saline up their noses too.  Dakota hated it; Jayden said it didn't feel like anything.  I was sick last week; thank goodness I seem to have gotten over that.  Dakota has been sleeping ridiculous amounts since she has been sick - from 8 pm until I woke her up at 9 am on Saturday night and from 9 pm until I woke her up at 8 am this morning.  I have no idea if this will continue, and I do still wake up in the middle of the night to pump, but it is rather amazing.

BUT, the real reason I am posting is because I am supposed to be doing a fundraiser for Jayden's school and I'm terrible at it.  All funds raised will go towards sending staff to the California Association for the Education of Young Children conference next spring.  The fundraiser is with a company called Mixed Bags, and the school gets 40 to 50% of the profit, depending on the order.  Since many (all?) of you are out of town, you can shop online!  www.mixedbagdesigns.com  There is no obligation to purchase anything, but if you find something you like, use ID 242870 at checkout so that Children's Village Preschool gets credit.

The fundraiser ends next Wednesday, September 30, 2015, so if you are interested in ordering anything, do it NOW!
(and by the way, don't buy anything for me, since I will probably contribute by making my own purchase!)

The only picture I have is of Jayden's tongue, because he thought it would be brown after he ate his chocolate cupcake tonight (it wasn't).  So sadly this is a photo-less post.  But if you're so inclined, send positive thoughts our way tomorrow from about 7 am on for good travel vibes!
